I think my love of organization is evident in my collagraph prints. Along with suggestions of architectural and landscape motifs, the compositions reflect mental processes of assembling components into logical wholes, resolving puzzles and achieving resolution.
Collagraphy is a hand-pulled printmaking technique that combines collage and intaglio processes. The plate is constructed of adhered elements and then inked with etching inks and printed on an etching press, where the image is embossed and transferred onto damp paper. Fresh ink must be applied to the plate for each pull, allowing many variations of color in an edition.
